Open and Go Through the Door

By some standards, it's risky for me to share the video below, but I am intrigued with the message and the messenger... Ash Beckham is the messenger. She offers challenges on many levels, and many unspoken, but real correlations with living the Gospel for all to see and know. Her message in bold as I hear it, is very true to my heart, and one I hope you can embrace it for yourself.  (I'll add my own italicized correlations in parentheses.)
  • Come out of your own dark closet, because no one should live in such a place! (Reconcile yourself with all that you have done, all that you can do and everything you can be!)
  • Be authentic and Be You! (God needs you to be real, and true to yourself.  You have been given many gifts, and there are some you do not possess.  Involve yourself with others in the sharing of gifts, and suddenly the gift of God's love is yours to have and share again!)
  • Meet people where they are! (Go through your own door, and out into a world that desperately needs God's authentic love!)

I love how God works, and I love knowing that Truth is Truth!

Referring to our call as disciples and ministers of the Gospel, Pope Francis offered a similar challenge about a year ago, speaking to about 1000 of the the world's Bishops: “We cannot keep ourselves shut up in parishes, in our communities, when so many people are waiting for the Gospel... It is not enough simply to open the door in welcome, but we must go out through the door to seek and meet the people.” (St. Sebastian Cathedral in Rio - July 27, 2013) See full Homily

The rest is up to the Holy Spirit.
