"Jesus said to his disciples, “Is a lamp brought in to be placed under a bushel basket or under a bed, and not to be placed on a lampstand? For there is nothing hidden except to be made visible; nothing is secret except to come to light. Anyone who has ears to hear ought to hear.” He also told them, “Take care what you hear. The measure with which you measure will be measured out to you, and still more will be given to you. To the one who has, more will be given; from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.” Mark 4: 21-25
This morning I checked into the ol' GregBlog and saw that I have accumulated 10,000 views! In the world of blogging, website visits or clicks, that's not a lot, BUT IT IS 10,000!
Then I looked at today's readings and noticed the Gospel from Mark... It's all about not hiding your light under a lamp stand. Appropriate, don't you think? I mean, I am by no means the world's most accomplished or viewed blogger. They get 10,000 hits per hour. But I am one little guy trying to shine a little extra light to at least 10,000 folks (or Google-Bots) out there!
Today, let's not only celebrate this light we have before us, but let's take the message to heart, and always take care of what we hear, or see, or share with others. This is kinda the theme of this week's GregCast.
I hope to contonue using this to simply share the goodness of God! Whether it's 10,000 or 10 million, what gets "measured out" will hopefully get "measured back" with some blessing in this life I hold dear!
Thanks 10,000 times over!
