Take Me Seriously!

Today's Readings

"Is he not the carpenter, the son of Mary, and the brother of James and Joseph and Judas and Simon?  And are not his sisters here with us?”  And they took offense at him.  Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his native place and among his own kin and in his own house.”  Mark 6: 3-4

Haven't we all screamed at least once in our lives, the question, "Would somebody please take me seriously?" One of the hardest realities in life to deal with is the fact that everyone thinks they have you figured out.  We are considered ONLY to be the sum of our parts accumulated and added together to this point.  There seems to be no trust in what is promised, or possible.  Why? Most would say that, "I've seen all the evidence, and I've rendered my judgement... This guy is a ______!"

I've always loved the concept of "Synergy", or as it was introduce to me, "1 + 1 = 3".  We are all full of an untapped potential to be exactly what God meant us to be.  The fact that we cannot see the potential outcome of our potential impact on the world today should not a deciding factor on our worth or purpose!

So, if i may speak on behalf of a good portion of humanity: TAKE US SERIOUSLY, and follow along, because we believe that God has something amazing in store for our lives and the lives of those around us!

And yes, I am the son of Ed and Terry Thompson... Deal with that, and write it down! :)
