Psalm 151... Now You Sing!

And now my head shall be raised above my foes who surround me and I shall offer within his tent a sacrifice of joy.  I will sing and make music for the Lord.
- Psalm 27

Did you know that I now serve the Church as a Parish Director of Liturgy and Music?  I never really stress this in my writing, and while I am blessed to be a tad biased by my years in Youth Ministry, I am beginning to open a new door, understanding a new way of celebrating God's place in my life.

Tonight, my parish kicks off another season of Music Ministry.  We gather our choirs this evening to invite new voices to join in singing God's joyful song.  The folks that have been around for a while, have welcomed me and guided me towards this new doorway, and I am eternally grateful for that!  Look at the Psalm above, and raise your heads above all your "stuff" and smile at God right in the face, singing for joy!  (My wife's Gramma-Jen Jen said that at our Wedding, "I look at my God right in the face!")

So, whether we sing or not, let us make a joyful noise for all to hear!  Let us make a sacrifice of joy!  "Let us sing and make music for the Lord!"
